Project Brief
Located in Whittlesea, Funfields Theme Park has become a cornerstone of the region’s community, growing from a modest attraction into one of Victoria’s premier destinations for family fun. Fourteen years ago, PRS was engaged by Funfields’ directors to assist with survey and set-out works as the park first began to expand.
The brief was clear: capture all site details to enable efficient use of space, support safe installation of new attractions, and preserve as many natural features as possible.
Our Approach
PRS delivered a comprehensive feature survey to document every detail of the site from the outset. This foundation allowed the park to grow in a way that was both strategic and sustainable.
As Funfields evolved, adding new rides such as water slides, a go-kart track, a swinging pirate ship, and family barbeque areas, our team provided ongoing set-out works for each new element, continually updating survey plans and maintaining long-term site control.
Our proactive involvement ensures every addition is precisely integrated with minimal disruption to existing operations or the surrounding landscape.
Today, we’re taking things even further. Leveraging cutting-edge Aerial LiDAR and the latest laser scanning technology, we’re creating high-resolution digital models of the entire park. This allows for rapid design validation, clash detection, and smarter planning of future expansions—all with minimal disruption to park operations. Our proactive, tech-driven approach ensures every addition is precisely integrated, keeping Funfields thrilling, functional, and future-ready.
Project Success
Today, Funfields continues to expand, recently developing a second giant water slide with further attractions on the horizon. PRS remains a trusted partner in this journey, providing the technical expertise and ongoing commitment needed to support the park’s growth.
